Earlier this year, Liberty HealthShare announced the release of two new programs: Liberty Rise and Liberty Assist. These new programs aim to address the needs of two specific groups, providing them access to affordable HealthShare options.
Liberty Rise
In the case of Liberty Rise, a program for members ages 18-29, the program is super affordable ($119/mo) for its target demographic. Younger adults are generally healthier, and may not be concerned with having access to as many services as those in their thirties and beyond.
Young adults under age 34 are the least likely group to have any kind of health coverage. So this effort by Liberty may be effective in helping young people strategize for their healthcare in an affordable way.
Liberty Assist
The other program, Liberty Assist, is somewhat revolutionary in the HealthShare industry. Most companies, even some of HealthShare Guide’s top picks, do not have options for members once they turn 65. In fact, most members age out once they become eligible for Medicare. But, just because a member (or former member) enrolls in Medicare parts A and B, that does not mean every healthcare expense will be covered. So, Liberty Assist aims to “assist” these older members with some of the things that Medicare may not cover. What’s more, Liberty makes it easy for seniors to enroll, and will help members transition to the program once they turn 65.
