HSG Bulletin: Liberty HealthShare Announces New Vision Sharing Program

Liberty HealthShare has announced the upcoming launch of its new vision sharing program, scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026. This new program introduces a vision-sharing option that goes beyond the typical discount program commonly seen in the HealthShare industry. For those researching vision benefits within cost sharing programs, this marks a notable shift toward broader routine-care options.

In a recent press release, Liberty HealthShare CEO Dorsey Morrow stated that the organization is “dedicated to continually expanding our sharing program options to meet the diverse healthcare needs of our members” and that “by adding a formal vision sharing program, we can expand our members’ support for other members’ total well-being in alignment with our mission of sharing and supporting one another in times of need.

To administer the vision program, Liberty HealthShare has partnered with National Vision Administrators (NVA), an independent vision program administrator founded in 1979. NVA offers a network of approximately 100,000 providers, with representatives available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Liberty Vision will not be offered as a standalone option. Instead, it will be available as an add-on to both new and existing members enrolled in any of Liberty HealthShare’s six sharing programs.

Monthly Costs and Eligible Vision Services

This vision sharing program introduces an additional way for members to address routine vision needs within Liberty HealthShare’s offerings, and it may offer added value for those who regularly use vision services. As with any HealthShare program, individuals should review the full guidelines, limitations, and costs to determine whether this vision care option aligns with their needs and expectations.
