Phoenix HealthShare began in 2026, bringing together years of experience in the healthcare sharing industry, and has since grown to more than 8,000 members. The organization was created with a focus on providing a simplified sharing experience through clear membership guidelines, transparency, and comprehensive member assistance throughout the entire healthcare process. As a faith-based community, it is built around caring for one another while allowing members to practice their own faith and beliefs. Membership is not limited to a specific denomination or religious practice.
How Phoenix HealthShare works with Care Coordination
Members participate in Phoenix HealthShare by contributing a set monthly amount that helps support the sharing community with eligible medical expenses. Upon joining, members select their care options, including Direct Primary Care (DPC) or preventive care, and choose an Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA).
The IUA is the amount members are responsible for before eligible medical expenses may be considered for sharing. Phoenix HealthShare offers IUA options of $1,250, $2,500, and $5,000. It applies per medical need, and once the IUA is met for a specific illness or injury, eligible expenses may be shared. Members are responsible for a maximum of three IUAs within a rolling 12-month period, regardless of the number of separate medical needs.
When a member has a healthcare need, Care Coordination provides personalized support and assistance by helping members navigate their options, identify cost-effective care, and access potential savings before receiving services. Care Coordination is not a pre-authorization requirement, and members are not required to use the service. However, utilizing the service may provide access to negotiated provider pricing and discounts that can reduce the IUA responsibility.
With Care Coordination discounts, the member responsibility may be reduced to:
- $750 for a $1,250 IUA
- $1,500 for a $2,500 IUA
- $3,500 for a $5,000 IUA
Once the IUA is satisfied, eligible expenses are shared according to Phoenix HealthShare’s Member Guidelines.
Monthly Contributions and Membership Options
Monthly contributions vary based on factors such as age, household size, and the selected Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA).
Phoenix HealthShare offers one simple sharing program with optional add-ons that allow members to customize their membership based on their healthcare needs and preferences. These add-ons are available for an additional monthly contribution.

| Rx Share: $15 to $25 per month Adds prescription support with negotiated pricing, set member costs by medication tier, and sharing for eligible prescriptions, along with discounts and assistance options for specialty medications. Prescription expenses are separate from medical sharing and do not count toward the IUA. |
Preventive Share: $20 to $60 per month Adds sharing for eligible preventive services, including an annual preventive visit, well-child visits, routine immunizations, screening mammogram, and colorectal screening. Preventive services are not subject to the IUA, though applicable waiting periods, age requirements, and sharing limits still apply. |
Add-ons are not included under the base membership.
Seniors 65+
Phoenix HealthShare members do not age out of membership at age 65. Existing members may continue their membership after turning 65, at which time Medicare Parts A and B are used first for eligible healthcare expenses. After Medicare has paid, Phoenix HealthShare may share remaining eligible expenses according to the Member Guidelines. New members who are age 65 or older are not eligible to enroll and must have an active Phoenix HealthShare membership before turning 65.
Temporary Continuity Enrollment Period
Through January 1, 2027, Phoenix HealthShare is offering a Continuity Enrollment Period for eligible members transitioning from another qualifying HealthShare. This temporary opportunity allows qualifying members to receive credit for prior membership history rather than starting over.
Eligible members may receive credit toward applicable waiting periods, Pre-Membership Condition (pre-existing condition) limitations, and certain previously satisfied member responsibilities. Members must provide documentation verifying prior HealthShare membership history and meet Phoenix HealthShare’s eligibility requirements. Continuity credit does not change the Phoenix HealthShare effective date, and all sharing remains subject to the Member Guidelines.
